About the programme

The role

Rather than focus on just one part of our business, this programme is designed to give you a thorough understanding of our activities as a whole. By helping you understand the broad commercial context, you'll develop the knowledge and insights needed to drive our (and your) future growth and development. It essentially comprises four six-month placements, including one each in:

The two placements in retail and commercial banking will be hands-on, customer facing roles where you'll get to grips with our front-line work, giving you invaluable first-hand experience. The third placement will vary, and could include delivering key business projects or cost efficiencies, or helping develop new products and processes. Either way, it'll be important, live and influential, with a heavy emphasis on 'hands-on' learning and putting your knowledge into action.

You'll work alongside experienced managers, and each assignment will stretch and challenge you with increasing responsibility until, with your final placement, you will bring everything together and take on a leadership role. This could be managing a team in branch, call centre or back-office.
